Woodstock

Purple flowers melting green, Bodies twirling in full color,

Flailing themselves, Unawareness floating with the air,

Little tablets with illustrations each a journey to something impossible within reality to reach.

Fuzz bubbles out of cherry trees as you press the blue button to dreams. Flickering lips sing to the songs it seems as though heaven has provided. Wood chips dance on the fingertips of faith. Illusions only make scene how?

PEACE LIVES don’t let it die.

Conclusion to Assisted Suicide

I left a comment on the Assisted Suicide blog that is basically saying the exact same thing as this.

I think we should move onto another topic because there doesn't seem to be any new opinions or arguments for Assisted Suicide; therefore, if you have a particular topic that you would like to discuss, just post a new blog and we will try our best to comment on it and give you our opinions. also, when you give an opinion, please try your best to support it with arguments otherwise we are not going to take it seriously. thank you!

Child Related Licensing

This is the idea that to raise a child, one (or a couple) must meet a criteria of mental and financial stability; as well as sufficient temporal availability. Once it is decided that one is eligible, they would be granted a license and legal guardianship of a preselected child would be granted. This criteria would obviously be much easier to meet as a couple, but there would also be advantages to being a single parent. As a couple, the two (or possibly many) would have to sign agreements stating that they would abide by preset rules for raising a child and that upon severe violation of these rules custody of the child would be removed from offending parties. As a single parent, raising the child may be more difficult but there is no possible conflict with a spouse that may traumatize the child.

The second half, oh yes there's more, is a birthing license. This is much simpler. More money is poured into researching genetics and the genes that cause certain diseases and disabilities. To obtain a birthing license, one's genes must be analyzed and found clear of defects, or the person may have some invaluable gene or mutation that human's as a whole would benefit from. The recipient of such a license would then be free to father or mother any children.

There would only be rare circumstances in which one would be able to give birth to and raise a child. At first anyway, eventually the gene pool would become a little less adulterated and the intelligence and financial and emotional stability of the general population would increase thus letting more and more people be able to be both the legal and biological parent of their own child. Until then, children would be born from licensed baby makers, then would be raised by licensed person makers!

I don't think this is really an "issue," I don't think it is even mentioned anywhere ever, but its an idea I have so what do y'all think?

Comments?

Don't Ask Don't Tell

Anyone not know what this is? Military doesn't ask about sexual orientation upon enlistment. Though if someone does reveal that they are of the homosexual preference they are subject to lawful and immediate discharge!
Pro: Soldier morale may lower if they find out they are serving with someone who is gay and this eliminates that problem.
Con: Soldiers with a lifetime of military service may suddenly lose their career if they slip up and reveal that they are gay.

I'll post my opinion later once there are some comments up, I wouldn't want to sway the opinions of others.

Assisted Suicide

I will be the first to open discussion on assisted suicide and I just wanted to start out by saying that I agree with it. I strongly agree with the principle that people should have the person choice to make their own good decisions; however, that doesn't meant that they don't need people around them to help influence them to make good decisions. Before we start arguing about this, we should probably see if anyone disagrees with my standpoint. Afterall, we don't want to break protocol ;) But anyways, I'm just throwing this out there, so please either comment on this blog or post a new blog with your views on assisted suicide. (BTW, sorry but I figured that I would just take the initiative and decide what our first topic of discussion was going to be. Hope you guys don't mind.)

New Blog

This is the first blog post of many (hopefully). I'm not really quite sure what to say. . . Well I had a stupendous day, and I got a lot accomplished. I worked for about 5 hours, made about 20 bucks, filled my gas tank up with about 16 bucks worth of gas for 2.23/gallon (BALLIN!) at Wall Mart, and I made a gmail account and my first blog. Well we, as in the principles of logic group 5, have to figure out when we should meet to talk about our first topic. . . Also, we have to decide on what topic we are going to discuss first. I would very much like to discuss something by Wednesday so yeah. . . Hope this all works out ;) Payce!
